Philip Sterk is a Nashville based pedal steel guitarist. After over a decade as a professional musician in Brooklyn, NY, Philip moved to Nashville in June of 2017.
In addition to his pedal steel work, he is a multi-instrumentalist, performing on non-pedal steel, dobro, guitar, drums and percussion. During his career, he has performed with a wide variety of National and International artists and productions. In the studio, Philip has worked with Grammy Award winning producers and artists, contributing to a range of musical recordings from soundtracks, jingle work, children’s music, and full albums of jazz, folk, country and rock. He is available for session and performance work. He currently on the road with the group Midland.
